What is your check-in and check-out time?
Our check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and our check-out time is 11:00 a.m. If you arrive prior to check-in time, our Guest Services Team is always happy to assist by storing your luggage until your room is available. Late checkout requests are subject to availability and additional fees may apply.
Do you have parking?
Yep! Underground self parking is available for $17.00 + tax per night.
NOTE: Our underground parking is 6’7”. If you have an over height vehicle, please contact Guest Services for nearby options available.
We also have electric charging stations (4 Tesla + 3 EV) AND overnight parking for guests with EV vehicles is complimentary! Thanks for helping the planet!

Can I bring my pet?
Yes! The Parkside Hotel & Spa is one of the most pet-friendly hotels in Victoria, BC.
Please contact us prior to arrival to ensure a pet-friendly suite is reserved for you (keep in mind we only have a limited number available). All reservations for pet-friendly suites must be booked directly with our Reservations Team to ensure a pet-friendly suite is available for you.
Two (2) pets per suite are permitted and must be under 50 pounds each.
A non-refundable pet fee of $50.00+taxes per stay is required, up to seven nights.
How do I get to the hotel from the Victoria International Airport?
Rental Car: Victoria International Airport is served by four on-airport rental car companies. Check out your options at victoriaairport.com/car-rentals.
Taxi: Taxis are readily available at the airport for you.
Shuttle: The YYJ Airport Shuttle departs frequently throughout the day and stops right at the front door of our lobby. Find full shuttle details at yyjairportshuttle.com.
Do you accept Debit, Visa Debit, Mastercard Debit, or Cash Deposits at check-in?
Unfortunately, No. We do not accept Debit, Visa Debit, Mastercard Debit, Prepaid Credit Cards, or Cash deposits at check-in.
We accept all major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Upon arrival, we require a pre-authorization for full room, tax, and incidentals to be held on the credit card provided at check-in.
You can settle your bill upon departure with any payment method, including cash or debit.
Do you have laundry detergent available?
You bet!
We have complimentary laundry detergent available that can be delivered to your room upon request or picked up at our front desk.

Carbon Neutrality FAQ
With soooo many buzz words surrounding 'carbon neutrality' here are a few helpful answers to FAQs.
What is carbon neutrality?
An organization, event, product or service is successfully Carbon Neutral when it can claim net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This means all significant GHG emissions produced by the business, event, product or service are balanced out by removing or preventing an equivalent amount of emissions from entering the atmosphere.
Why would a hotel seek to be carbon neutral?
5% of all global emissions are from the Tourism and Hospitality industry.
The Parkside Hotel & Spa relies on the selling the pristine, natural environment, fresh air, and clean water of Greater Victoria and Vancouver Island as a whole.
It is important across the entire sector that we work towards reducing our carbon footprint, to ensure we have a vibrant tourism and hospitality industry well into the future.
What is a carbon offset?
A carbon offset is a greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction that is used to counterbalance, or offset, a GHG emission. They are sometimes also referred to as carbon credits, VERs, or CERs.
A carbon offset occurs when an individual or organization emits a given amount of GHG emissions but invests in measures that remove the equivalent volume of GHG emissions from the atmosphere or prevent the emissions from taking place at all. Carbon offsets are a financial instrument that represents this reduction (counterbalance or offset) in GHG emissions.
What is the Climate Contribution fee?
At The Parkside Hotel & Spa, we take sustainability seriously; in fact, we are a carbon neutral and Four Green Key rated hotel. Our Climate Contribution program consists of a small fee of $1.25 per night that goes towards three amazing, forward-thinking initiatives with Offsetters. We encourage our guests to read about these amazing Offsetters initiatives that we support here.
This fee is optional and should you choose to "opt out", please inform us at check in.
Fitness Centre FAQ
Where do I go when I arrive?
Non Hotel Guests: Please enter via the front lobby entrance on Humboldt Street. Our Atrium & Blanshard doors are locked.
Everyone must be checked in – please stop at the Facilities Desk in Tower A on the Lobby Level (near the pool).
How many people are allowed to use the fitness centre at one time?
We will be allowing a maximum of 3 people into the fitness centre during one time slot.
How many times and how long can I use the fitness centre for?
We will be allowing each person to use the fitness centre for 1 hour time slots. You may pre-book up to 5 days in advance. Only 4 spots per week can be pre-booked.

What are the physical distancing rules in the gym and pool?
We ask that you do not use equipment side by side the other gym user. We also encourage you to physically distance from the other person in the gym at all times, unless you are from the same household.
We will only allow 1 person in the swim lane at one time. Swim lane will be restricted to 30 minutes only. No reservations can be made on the swim lane.
How will I sanitize the equipment before/after use?
We will provide each gym user one spray bottle with cleaner and a microfiber towel to use during their gym visit. We ask that you spray and wipe down all equipment after each use.
What amenities are available?
Our change rooms and showers are now open and accessible through the pool deck. Please continue to maintain safe social distancing in the change rooms. There is a maximum occupancy of 2 people in the change rooms at a time. Lockers will not be available at this time.
I have a previously purchased punch pass, can I use the fitness centre and pool?
All punch-pass members can use the fitness centre or pool during the hours and parameters outlined.
Punch-pass Member Swim Times (Reservations Required):
Monday-Wednesday: 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m.
Thursday-Sunday: 7:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m., & 9:00 a.m.
To ensure physical distancing, the pool has a maximum occupancy of 12 members per 1-hour time slot, and we cannot currently accommodate member groups larger than 4.
Punch-pass Member Fitness Centre Times (Reservations Required) will remain the same:
Monday-Wednesday: 12:30pm-7:30pm
Thursday-Sunday: 7:00am-10:30pm
To ensure physical distancing, the gym has a maximum occupancy of 3 people per 1-hour time slot, and we cannot currently accommodate member groups larger than 2.
Reservations MUST be made prior to arrival at the gym and pool.
We will accept member reservations up to 5 days in advance. Members are limited to 1, one-hour time slot per day (pool OR gym) & a maximum of 3 time slots per week.
If you cannot make your reservation(s), please call or email us to cancel. Members who no show for reservation(s) will have the punch(s) deducted from their card on their next visit.
Both the pool and fitness centre are available for 1 - hour long time spot. Pre-booking is allowed for punch pass members - you may pre-book up to 5 days in advance, and up to 4 spots per week. Only 1 time slot is available per day, per person for either the pool or fitness centre. At this time, you cannot book both pool and fitness centre on one day.
