Our Pet Policy

We Welcome You and Your “Best Friend”

Pets are absolutely members of the family. At The Parkside Hotel & Spa, we understand that traveling with a pet can be a great way for you to bond with your four-legged friend. So we’re happy to welcome you and your pet when staying with us.

If you plan to bring a pet when you stay with us, please ensure you call to confirm with Guest Services or Reservations prior to your arrival - we have a limited number of pet-friendly suites.

Here’s an overview of what you’ll need to know in order to make your visit to our pet friendly hotel in Victoria BC a happy and comfortable one.

Designated Pet Suites

We have a limited number of pet-friendly suites available. Therefore, it is essential to make your reservation directly with The Parkside Hotel & Spa if you plan to travel with a four-legged friend.

For everyone's safety and comfort, our housekeeping staff will not enter the suite unless your pet is crated or out exploring alongside you. However, guests may not decline cleaning services for more than three days and must make arrangements to either safely crate their pet or vacate the suite in order for our housekeeping team to properly access and clean.

Pet Fee

Please be advised that a non-refundable pet fee of $50.00 per stay, per seven nights will be charged to your payment method prior to your departure. This is to ensure that any additional cleaning that may be required is covered in preparation for the next guest to assume occupancy of the suite.

Please Note: Certified guide dogs are always welcome and are exempt from pet-fee charges.

Therapy/Emotional Support Animals

As per local ordinances in the province of British Columbia, therapy and emotional support animals, including dogs, are not eligible for certification. This means that therapy and emotional support animals do not have the same access rights as certified guide and service dogs. Emotional support animals are still absolutely welcome in our pet-friendly suites. However, the pet cleaning fee is still applicable.

Please Note: The Guide Dog and Services Dog Act makes it an offense to represent a dog as belonging to a guide or service dog team when it does not. A person convicted of the offense faces a fine of up to $3,000.
