Hope Love Japan, a fundraising event in support of the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, will be held at Parkside Victoria Resort & Spa on Sunday (March 27) from 1-5 pm in the Atrium.
This family-friendly fundraising event will be inspired by Japanese tradition, with music by Masako Hockey and Satomi Edwards, tea service and Japanese blessing.
Parkside was mentioned along with the Bear Mountain Resort and the Oak Bay Beach Hotel as one of the better-known destinations for a luxurious winter escape in Victoria.
The award, which was one of only four presented at the prestigious 2010 Hall of Fame Awards for Excellence in Toronto on March 7, 2011, recognizes Canadian lodging properties that have developed a culture towards integrating environmental management practices that improve everyday operations and the bottom line, while maintaining quality service and meeting guest expectations.
