Parkside's Director Jim Pearson and Hotel Operations Leader Trina White are featured on the cover of the May/June 2011 issue of Hotelier Magazine, Canadian's leading hotel publication.

Along with Jim and Trina appearing on the cover in the atrium gardens, Parkside is featured in the article "Dreaming Green" (which focuses on Parkside's eco-friendly initiatives) on page seven.

The Wannawafel fundraiser/training event, which also took place on May 7th at Parkside, was a success as well! 

On Saturday, April 30, 2011, Parkside Victoria Resort & Spa extended this year's nationwide celebration of our planet by partnering with local businesses and organizations for our 2nd annual Earth Expo & Farmer's Market.

The event was fun and educational (and tasty!) for kids and adults alike, offering a glimpse into some of the creative ways Victoria is initiating eco-friendly practices.

Wannawafel, a local Victoria company that bakes authentic, made-from-scratch Belgian waffles, will be hosting a charity event at Parkside on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 2-5pm, alongside our "Going Places" Art Show, happening from 1-3pm and 7-9pm.

New Wannawafel franchisees from all over Canada will be baking and selling delicious waffles from three brand-new waffle carts in our restaurant space for half price ($2 each), with all proceeds going to the BC Children’s Hospital.

So stop by Parkside on Saturday for a day of local art and fresh-baked Wannawafels!

Parkside Victoria Resort & Spa is showcasing local painters Erica Messing, Shari Young and Jonathan Gleed in “Going Places,” a creative exploration of our environment through acrylic and watercolour on Saturday May 7, 2011 from 1-3pm and 7-9pm.

Art enthusiasts are invited to attend this free cultural event, which will feature new works from the three artists intermingled in the natural setting of Parkside's glass atrium, adorned with rare tropical gardens and fish-filled ponds.

“Going Places” will also provide delicious wines and cheeses in an inviting, reception style atmosphere.
