Enjoy Victoria on foot with Parkside's running and walking route maps
Thanks to our mild, West Coast weather and fantastic trails and walkways, the people of Victoria are pretty darn fit and healthy—it's not an uncommon sight to see joggers and walkers out pounding the pavement year-round.
To help you truly experience Victoria the way the locals do (and to help you keep up your healthy habits while on holiday), we've created a selection of walking and running route maps, varying from 3 - 15 km in distance and all starting and ending at Parkside.
Each map gives a short description of the route (flat, hilly, out-and-back, loop, etc.), the distance, the approximate time to complete and the scenery you can expect to see along the way, such as Beacon Hill Park, Craigdarroch Castle and the Inner Harbour.
The running and walking route maps can be picked up at the Front Desk or viewed online at http://www.walkjogrun.net/members/Parkside. The maps will also be available as an app on our iPads at the iPad Bar, located in the Discovery Centre on the ground floor of Parkside.
Another bonus if you're a runner staying at Parkside—we've got Paul, a registered massage therapist who is also marathon runner, triathlete and Ironman competitor at AquaTerre Spa to help keep you in your top running form!
To book an appointment with Paul, the RMT at AquaTerre Spa in Parkside, please call 250.940.1200 ext 8414 or email aquaterre@parksidevictoria.com.
Happy running!
