Welcome to the newest members of our Parkside family!
Parkside is turning into a zoo!
Three schools of Koi will be joining our resident ducks in our three ponds at Parkside and we've just added a Brugmansi (Angel's Trumpet) to our atrium gardens.
Koi, known for their large size and long, flowing tail fins, will be swimming in our pond located at the corner of Humboldt and Blanshard streets, in the east pond next to the Fairfield lobby and the pond inside the atrium gardens.
There are 36 Koi in total and two varities: standard and butterfly.
They're still a little shy and may be hiding, but keep your eyes open!
Brugmansia, or Angel's Trumpet as it is commonly known, is a wonderful addition to our atrium gardens.
This South American plant has long, trumpet-like flowers that only open up at night, releasing a sweet and intoxicating scent. And the best part is - it blooms all year!
And in case you were wondering, our resident duck is still here - and he has a friend!
A female duck has been spotted hanging out with our duck in the pond at the corner of Humboldt and Blanshard.
You can usually find them sitting on the walkway, swimming around in the pond outside or trying to sneak into the atrium!
