Parkside Grand Opening a success!
The Grand Opening and invite-only Gala at Parkside Victoria Resort & Spa on Friday, June 25 were a huge success!
The event kicked off with a champagne sabreing by Pacific Shores Resort & Spa's Sommelier and Director of Food and Beverage Atilla Cimsit before the doors opened to the food and wine exhibition.
Visitors and guests mingled, sipped on wine and enjoyed delicious appetizers and beverages from local businesses such as The Landing West Coast Grill, Truffles Catering and Caffe Fantasico at the exhibition from 1 to 4 pm.
In the Rockland lobby, visitors and guests checked out The Green Zone, which featured great eco-conscious businesses such as reFUSE and ecoeverything.
In the Atrium, a live band played as guests and visitors strolled through the resort, took Green Building Tours or relaxed in patio chairs outside in the sun.
Just before the Gala event at 5 pm, the ribbon-cutting ceremony took place in the Atrium. The ribbon was cut by Andrew Pearson, President of Aviawest Resort Group; Richard Hulbert, Principal Planner and Architect at The Hulbert Group; Gordon Gurnick, President of RCI North America; Alan Lowe, former Mayor of Victoria; and David Anderson, former Environment Minister and current Member of Parliament.
