Since 2008, the United Nations has officially recognized June 8 as World Oceans day - a time to take action and participate in events that raise awareness and help to preserve our world's oceans. 

Parkside is turning into a zoo!

Three schools of Koi will be joining our resident ducks in our three ponds at Parkside and we've just added a Brugmansi (Angel's Trumpet) to our atrium gardens.

Koi, known for their large size and long, flowing tail fins, will be swimming in our pond located at the corner of Humboldt and Blanshard streets, in the east pond next to the Fairfield lobby and the pond inside the atrium gardens. 

There are 36 Koi in total and two varities: standard and butterfly.

They're still a little shy and may be hiding, but keep your eyes open!
